Dedication

This website is devoutly dedicated to all of Larry's friends and associates, both early and late, who have influenced and mentored him. However, it also should be noted that, being who they are, a majority of them have been late most of the time.

It happened at the State House

Previously, I saw a little frog, as I was walking into the West Virginia State House.

The frog greeted me, and asked me to pick it up.

I did, whereupon the frog told me that, if I kissed it, it would turn into a beautiful woman.

I immediately put the frog and my pocket, and continued on my way.

The frog then cried out from my pocket, asking me why I didn't kiss it.

I told it that I'd rather have a talking frog.

Besides, I already had a beautiful and bodacious lady, Cheryl, as my  loving wife.

And so it goes, while, for sure and for certain, may God bless you all real good!

Signs of the Times?

This observation from "Cato's Letter" (A Quarterly Message on Liberty, Summer 2020, Volume 18, Number 3) helped give me an enhanced perspective of my faith in our nation, as well as the endurance of our divinely inspired Constitution's creation of our "American Excellence":
"...Telling people that life is getting better is a counterintuitive idea. It often doesn't go down very well.
In fact, Cato senior fellow Johan Norberg once came across a piece of writing that said: 'We've never lived in such evil times. Our politicians have never been so corrupt and the social fabric has never been so decayed'.
Guess when that was written?
It was an inscription on a Chaldean piece of stone in a museum in Turkey and dated from 3800 B.C."
Just as an American colonial patriot Thomas Paine once despaired that "these are the times that try men's souls", so it goes here and now with us today.
Truly, our times now are scary, prompting many of us to cry out in despair, "O tempora! O mores!" (Oh, the times! Oh, the customs!),
Even so, we will prevail, and our anxious prayers are being heard in the Courts of Heaven.
Remember, and "Let not your heart be troubled..." (King James Bible, Book of John, Chapter 14, Verse 1), and always strive for principles over politics.
And, for sure and for certain, may God bless you all real good!🤗

Firearms Safety?

It is unusual for me to be a proponent of  any sort of additional government involvement in our lives.

Far too often, otherwise well meaning elected officials end up restricting our God given rights and also impede our paths to prosperity.

However, this is a proposal that our West Virginia State Legislature and local school boards would do well to adopt.

A generation or so ago, many West Virginia school students were given firearms safety training as part of their education. It is my understanding that this training was conducted by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Police.

Let's bring that back!

Meanwhile, and for sure and for certain, may God bless you all real good.
